Just spent 4 nights at Hotel Scalzi. Had a spacious room with a great shower, and breakfast outside in the courtyard was a treat! The staff, especially Norman, gave us solid tips on navigating Verona. A bit loud in the mornings, but overall a lovely stay!

We stayed for 6 nights in a Double or Twin Room. The morning staff at breakfast were attentive and friendly, serving delicious cappuccinos in a lovely secret garden. Our room was ready when we arrived at 11am, which was a pleasant surprise. Great location just a short walk from the train station and town.

The air conditioning left much to be desired, shutting off frequently and causing uncomfortable heat, especially during warm weather. Noise from the neighboring room was intrusive at times, and maintenance issues, like outdated decor and limescale in the shower, were apparent throughout the stay.

The customer service was through the roof. They set up a little surprise in our room for our anniversary, a bottle of Prosecco that was a nice unexpected touch.

It wasn't cheap, but worth every penny in my book.

the hotel is situated just a pleasant 15-minute walk down a tree-lined street to piazza bra, making it super easy to reach the heart of the city, and breakfast in the lovely garden courtyard was simply delightful, setting a relaxing tone for my day of exploring. as an added bonus, the staff was incredibly friendly and always ready to give great recommendations for nearby cafes and sights to see during those city strolls.
